STW Logo Our mission is to assure safe and sanitary disposal of solid waste for district residents and to reduce resuable or renewable wastes from entering landfills within the District. This will be accomplished through the development of residential and industrial programs that educate, promote, provide, implement and improve recycling opportunities that will preserve landfill space now and into the future.

Recycle Bin Monthly Recycling Tip
November 15, 2008 is America Recycles Day. Here at the District we encourage each resident to recycle on a daily basis and to help neighbors and friends learn how to recycle. Check out where to recycling in your area.
Educaiton Education Presentations
The District employees education specialist's who are available to speak free of charge in school classrooms and for area civic groups. Topics include recycling, recycled products, waste reduction, composting, conservation and landfill construction.
Unwanted Mail Junk Mail
Every year junk mail creates 4 million tons of unnecessary waste, filling 3% of American Landfills. There are tips and ways to reduce unwanted or unnecessary junk mail. Click here for websites on stopping junk mail.
Composting Yardwaste/Tree Composting
The best option for leaves and trees is to compost them. You can take your leaves, other yard waste products and Christmas trees to one of our yardwaste drop-off sites throughout the District. Learn more about composting at home in your backyard.
