for customers to recycle their used cell phones,
PDAs, pagers, and rechargeable batteries.
Customers can recycle these devices by simply
dropping them off while they shop at their local

Soldiers For Soldiers Recycling Program |
|
Fallen O'Brien of the
United States Air Force began doing some research
on various fundraising programs and came across
a company that buys used cell phones
along with empty toner and inkjet printer
cartridges and paid her $1.00 for every
inkjet cartridge and $3.00 for every used cell
phone collected, also they paid the shipping
costs. Airman O'Brien along with The American
Legion has started the Soldiers for Soldiers
collection campaign to raise funds for The
American Legion.
Legion Post 221, at 427 Lincoln Way
E in Massillon, is the local collection
point for the printer cartridges and used cell
phones. For more information on the program,
call (330) 833-4545.

Recycle to Fight Breast Cancer and Protect the Environment! |
|
Every year, hundreds of millions
of cell phones, toner
and inkjet cartridges are thrown
into our nation's landfills. In addition
to putting toxic chemicals into our earth, these
phones and cartridges take up valuable space
and waste priceless resources. The goal of this
recycling program is to prevent these items
from entering our landfill. The items
are collected, recycled and all profits from
the recycling efforts go to support the fight
against breast cancer.
As a participant in this program,
you collect these items, box and prepare them
for shipping and you will receive a prepaid
shipping label. There is no cost to you
for shipping. For more information on
what you can recycle and how to go about doing
it, check out the Recycle
for Breast Cancer website.
